There are many studies that speak about the scores of the GMAT and their validation. The organization, which owns the exam – The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), has come with an interesting connection between the student's test scores and their grades in the business school after that. It turns out that the student, with higher GMAT scores have better achievments in the university as well. The council notes about some strong relationship between both, and evidence that high-achieving students also tend to show better understanding the course material. This can be mostly seen in math sections, especially in the high scores in the accounting classes. From the other side, GMAC did not find any correlation between graduate business school results and undergraduate GPAs. This topic is investigated from many academics and related to quite a few business school studies trying to better understand the need of taking the GMAT, and so far all show these studies have shown positive association between high-achievers throughtout their education.

How business schools make their admission decisions is often a mystery to outsiders.
