The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the organization that administers the GMAT, recently published research on how students typically pay for their graduate management training. In the most recent year for which data are available, a plurality of funds (nearly 26%) came from personal savings or earnings, followed by loans (23%) and parental support (about 22%). Fellowships, grants, and scholarships accounted for only 19% of funding for the average student. Business school applicants with high GMAT scores are well positioned to take greater advantage of scholarships opportunities. Learning about available scholarships involves a substantial amount of research, but informed students can target institutions with those opportunities. The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, for instance, automatically considers all applicants for merit scholarships based on several criteria, including GMAT scores. This means that high-scoring students admitted to Kelley are likely to pay a good deal less than their peers with lower scores. At Manhattan Review, we advise all of our GMAT clients to consider the issue of financial aid when applying to business school.

Manhattan Review's GMAT prep courses and private tutoring plans consistently produce the GMAT scores expected by the best business schools. GMAT Prep Course Brussels - Photo of Student Ian

I got a 730 (unofficially). A 44 quantitative and 47 verbal. Interestingly, my score on the verbal side went up on each practice exam and the actual exam, while my math score was exactly the same every time, even though I studied much harder for the math because I found it more difficult than the verbal.
