According to the available statistics, the mean GMAT total score for all test-takers is 574. Top business programs around the world require very high GMAT scores. GMAT Prep Course Berkeley - Photo of Student Jason

I really found the course to be extremely useful, especially in helping me remember math that I learned back in the 9th grade and learning short-cut techniques to cut through grueling calculations.

Meet a Berkeley GMAT Tutor: Brayden T.

Brayden was born and raised in Philadelphia and grew up never imagining living anywhere else. He and his family took frequent trips to San Francisco to visit extended family members, and over the years, Brayden came to look forward to these trips, offering something different than the usual routines of his hometown. Brayden recalls always being someone who enjoyed working with numbers, and he proudly obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting from Cornell University. Desiring a career in business, Brayden didn't want to leave anything to chance when it came to preparing for the GMAT. While he purchased some books and completed online preparation work, he didn't feel even close to prepared for an exam that could determine the course of his professional life. Brayden reached out to a local office of Manhattan Review and enrolled in a classroom-style group prep course, certain it would be helpful to have professional support and to ensure he was focusing on the correct test-related topics. Combining what he learned in his classes with his own study, Brayden prepared diligently for the GMAT. His hard work and dedication were rewarded when he scored in the highest percentile on the exam and received numerous acceptance offers to world-class business programs.

While sad to leave his supportive family, Brayden ultimately chose to obtain his MBA at the University of California at Berkeley, crediting all those trips to the Bay Area with inspiring an unexpected love of the West Coast. During his graduate program, Brayden had the opportunity to take on occasional work as a tutor, "mostly because word somehow got around that I was good with numbers and good at explaining things," he laughs. "I really came to enjoy working with other people on projects and helping them do better than they could on their own." Brayden soon found himself helping friends and family members prepare for the GMAT, using many of the same techniques he'd learned from his Manhattan Review prep course. "I knew from personal experience there was a method to preparing for an exam like the GMAT, and I also knew I never would have mastered that exam without focused guidance and dedicated support." Brayden graduated at the top of his class and was offered a variety of exciting and impressive positions with both local and international companies, but he ultimately chose to remain in Berkeley. He enjoyed working as an executive consultant at a well-known venture capital firm for more than a decade, but after a while, he began to search for new career opportunities, the chance to make a more impactful difference in the world on a smaller, more personal level. When Manhattan Review opened an office in Berkeley, Brayden immediately reached out about the possibility of instructing students preparing for the GMAT. We were thrilled to have someone with his knowledge and experience on board, and Brayden was overjoyed to share his enthusiasm for the world of business with future corporate leaders.

Brayden's GMAT prep courses fill up almost as fast as they're announced, and there is regularly a wait list to work with him. Clients routinely share how much they appreciate his impressive background, particularly his Bay Area connections and first-hand knowledge of preparing for and mastering an admittedly challenging exam. Brayden patiently breaks down even the most complicated test questions and has helped countless aspiring executives obtain the GMAT scores they need to pursue their own fulfilling careers. When he isn't offering instruction on acing the GMAT, Brayden can be found enjoying the Berkeley food scene, perfecting his sailing skills on the San Francisco Bay, and cheering on the Oakland A's with his wife.
