A Master's degree is an academic honor that distinguishes the most qualified candidates for career opportunities. Invest in your postgraduate education to make yourself qualified for high profile, high paying positions in your field. Whether you want to work in the sciences, social sciences or humanities, your GRE score will help determine where you attend graduate school.

The GRE is comprised of three sections: Analytical Writing, Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning (math). You may naturally excel in all three areas, but all students have a skill set with both strengths and weaknesses. Work with a private tutor in Johannesburg to fine-tune all your core competencies. This one-on-one learning environment can cater to your unique learning needs and style of study.

Whether you want to climb your career ladder in South Africa or pursue your passion elsewhere, your Master's degree can be your ticket to getting hired. With each credential added to your title, you take your career prospects to the next level. Invest in our private tutoring services today and, in the future, you can become a top-paid professional in your field. Your private tutor will work with you so you're prepared for every section. Practice your reading comprehension, text completion and sentence equivalence. Find out how to construct an essay that will score you plenty of points. (That includes brushing up on your spelling and deconstructing a coherent argument.)

This may sound overwhelming, but this is where your private tutor helps make the GRE accessible and achievable. Many students feel daunted by the quantitative section of the exam. After all, high school algebra and geometry may seem like far away phantom thoughts you haven't tapped into in ages. You may not remember how to solve for "x" – but your tutor will guide you through the formulas likely to appear on this standardized test format. With proficiency expected in exponents, square roots, fractions, we'll place a high priority on helping you get to the answer with speed and accuracy.

Our private tutors are not going to re-teach you every formula and equation you ever learned in school. Instead, you'll work from our customizable course syllabus, with concentrates on what will appear on the GRE. Find out exactly what to focus on for problem solving and quantitative comparison. Manhattan Review has been analyzing the GRE long enough to know exactly what sort of information to share with you.

Let's work together so you can pursue your Master's at South Africa's top schools, including University of Fort Hare, University of the Western Cape, Central University of Technology University of Cape Town, Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Durban University of Technology, Rhodes University, University of Pretoria and University of Johannesburg.

I would like to let you know that I took the GRE on Monday, December 6th and earned a score of 1200 (600 verbal, 600 quantitative). I think that I did very well on the essay portion of the test as well but won't receive those scores in the mail for a couple weeks or so. I would like to thank my instructor (George S.) and Manhattan Review for helping me to increase my score so much (I got a 1050 the first time I took the GRE in 2002) Thank you very much.

Meet a Johannesburg GRE Tutor: Zeke S.

With Zeke's father a Lieutenant Colonel in the military, he traveled far and wide during his formative years. He attended several schools in the United States but also spent time in Morocco, Germany and South Africa. While Zeke enjoyed exploring the world with his parents and three siblings, he was eager to firmly plant his feet in one spot. This spot, as it turned out, would be South Africa. He pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of Johannesburg while his father was still stationed close by. Likewise, his siblings would settle into the area as well.

Zeke studied Economic and Financial Sciences, focused on credit management and finance. Graduating in the top tier of his class, Zeke snagged a job opportunity with JSE Limited, the largest stock exchange in Africa. As a learning organization, the JSE fosters learning through training programs, mentoring and sponsored education. With this opportunity, Zeke was able to attain his Masters degree at University of Johannesburg in Finance. With his academic achievements and professional prowess, Zeke is a valuable member of Manhattan Review's GRE private tutoring team.
