I would like to let you know that I took the GRE on Monday, December 6th and earned a score of 1200 (600 verbal, 600 quantitative). I think that I did very well on the essay portion of the test as well but won't receive those scores in the mail for a couple weeks or so. I would like to thank my instructor (George S.) and Manhattan Review for helping me to increase my score so much (I got a 1050 the first time I took the GRE in 2002) Thank you very much.

Meet a Dayton GRE Tutor: Alvin J.
Alvin J. grew up in Merida, Mexico, but moved to the United States for college. He obtained an undergraduate degree in engineering from Texas A&M University and knew he wanted to pursue a career in architecture. Alvin took preparing for the GRE very seriously and participated in a weekly classroom-style prep course, which he supplemented with a few private tutoring sessions, ensuring he was prepared and able to manage his time on test day. Alvin's hard work was rewarded when he obtained a very high GRE score that earned him acceptance to Cornell University. After graduating with an advanced degree in architecture, Alvin was offered a position with an international company specializing in sustainable building and development. The company had offices around the world, and Alvin was excited to have the chance to move to Dayton.
Alvin had done a lot of student teaching during his undergraduate and graduate programs, and he missed working directly with students. When he learned Manhattan Review had an office in Dayton, he reached out about helping students prepare for the GRE, and we were thrilled to welcome him to the team. When he isn't helping students master the GRE and gain their own admittance to world-class graduate programs, Alvin can be found working on his photography skills and playing basketball with friends.
