As you have prepared to apply to the law programs which most interest you, you have undoubtedly seen the diference a few points can make on the LSAT. The website of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) features an admissions calculator, which shows the odds of acceptance to any ABA-accredited program based on the user's input of undergraduate GPA and LSAT score. Entering a GPA of 3.4 and an LSAT score of 160, for instance, will return results ranging from less than 10% to at least 90%, depending on the program. At the University of Texas at Austin, for example, a 3.4 GPA and a 160 LSAT produce odds of admission to this program at around 8%. If we increase the LSAT score to 165 without changing the GPA, the odds of acceptance to UT Austin increase to 27%. In other words, that five-point gain in an applicant's LSAT score triples his or her chances of success and can compensate for a solid, if not stellar, GPA. Let Manhattan Review help you to attain your goals to reach a top percentile LSAT score to have access to the programs which most interest you and will open doors in the future to the law career of your choice.
