Meet a San Antonio LSAT Tutor: Lydia F.

When Lydia came to Manhattan Review to embark on a career as a professional LSAT tutor, she had already enjoyed quite an exciting career as a practicing family lawyer. And though her most recent law firm was in San Antonio, Lydia also practiced law in several other states, as she travelled about the country with her husband, Dave, who works as a defense contractor for NASA, before he landed at Lockheed Martin in San Antonio.

Although Lydia is one of the top professionals in her field, she didn't realize her propensity towards the law until undergrad at St. Mary's University. After graduating at the top of her high school class, Lydia aced the SAT with a score in the 99th percentile and was accepted to her parent's alma mater, a school she'd hope to attend since she was a little girl. While at St. Mary's University, she fell in love with the law when she took her first criminal justice course as an elective, and the rest as they say is history. From there, Lydia became focused on becoming a lawyer and did whatever it took and then some, studying as much as she could, interning at local high profile law firms and prepping for the LSAT. While all of her hard work paid off, she considers herself one of the lucky ones, which is one of the main reasons she wanted to help tutor LSAT prep to up and coming lawyers.

It didn't take long for the local law firms to notice the talented Lydia, who was hired as a junior lawyer for a top firm before even completing law school at the prestigious School of Law at St. Mary's University. While there she earned her first of several career-defining promotions, before moving away to Colorado for her husband's job. Two moves later, Lydia was back in San Antonio with a world of experience under her belt and a strong desire to teach. Shortly after, Lydia found Manhattan Review and began tutoring LSAT test prep.

Students at Manhattan Review love to work with Lydia because of her unique professional experiences as a family lawyer, particularly because she has practiced in several states. Additionally, Lydia has an incredible sense of humor and often infuses jokes in her delivery to help lighten the mood when the subject matter begins to be taxing on her students. Lydia's goal is to get students to not only appreciate and know the law, but to also spark a passion for it! She believes that alongside hard work and perseverance, a passion for the law is what ultimately got her to where she is today.
