The LSAT is a respected assessment for a variety of reasons. One of these is the consistency of test-taker performance across multiple years. Over the past decade or so, there has been almost no change in the average scores for all test-takers (in the 2007-08 testing year, the mean LSAT score was 150.64, and in 2013-14, the average score was 150.59). Test-takers in Canada and other countries outperform American students by 2-3 points on average, but this could very well be a statistical anomaly explained by the relatively small sample size (about 86% of test administrations take place in the United States). Furthermore, LSAT scores are not as variable as undergraduate grades, which can be affected by extreme differences of course difficulty. Finally, the LSAT plays a role in law school rankings. The rankings given by U.S. News & World Report, for example, are calculated partially from the average LSAT scores of a program's accepted students. This means that law schools have a vested interest in competing for higher-scoring applicants.
Manhattan Review's LSAT prep courses and private tutoring in Pasadena and other major cities have helped law school applicants begin JD programs at Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, Yale, Stanford, UC Berkeley, the Hastings College of the Law at the University of California, Georgetown, the University of Chicago, the University of Michigan, Northwestern, UCLA, Vanderbilt, the University of Virginia, Duke, Columbia, New York University, and many more. Our former LSAT clients have pursued legal careers at large law firms, at Fortune 500 companies, in civil service, and at public interest organizations. Law schools that have the best employment outcomes for their graduates also generally expect the highest LSAT scores. Conversely, less selective law schools often have poor rates of employment for their alumni, which defeats the entire purpose of going to law school. Comprehensive LSAT prep is one of the strongest investments you can make in your future success.

Meet a Pasadena LSAT Tutor: Jason J.
Jason J. has been teaching LSAT prep for Manhattan Review in the greater Los Angeles area for the past six years. He completed his undergraduate studies in sociology at the University of Maryland, and earned his JD from the University of Illinois College of Law. He has been a practicing attorney since 2007, specializing in real estate law. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, he has been living in Pasadena for three years.
Jason's LSAT students have been accepted to the law schools at major public research institutions and Ivy League schools, including several of the most highly ranked institutions. His student evaluations are overwhelmingly positive, and students particularly appreciate his original style of instruction and dedication to his students' learning goals. In his spare time, Jason is an amateur golfer.
