Meet an Arlington ACT Tutor: Jay M.

Jay M. is originally from Salt Lake City, but moved to Arlington shortly after finishing his education due to the opportunities for educators in the area. He has a Bachelor's degree in English from Emory, and a Master's degree in education from Rice University, which was part of the inspiration behind his subsequent move to become an English teacher and tutor in the Arlington area.

Jay has been helping students with their SAT and ACT preparation since his time in graduate school, where he translated his own strong performance on the ACT exam into helping students with their own exam preparation. His specialty is the English section of the exam, but he is familiar with the math portion of the exam as well and believes that a strong foundation in language is a critical component to understanding the questions on the exam.
