Meet a Manila SAT Tutor: Betty W.

Born and raised in Malaysia, Betty came to Manila to study at the prestigious University of the Philippines campus in Manila. Drawn by the area's captivating cathedrals, museums, culture, and outdoor recreation around Manila Bay, Betty decided to stay in the metro region once she received her BA in Behavioral Sciences. In this interdisciplinary program in the College of Arts and Sciences, she tackled subjects including Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology. She gained a further appreciation for the local heritage by exploring these subjects in the context of the Filipino psyche and way of life.

Always a people-person, she opted to join the Human Resources department of a large firm in the heart of the city. While Betty cut down to part-time in order to start a family, she's still managed to stay busy as a private SAT tutor with Manhattan Review. Drawing from her own educational experience and prowess as a professional, Betty adds value to our team with her background in behavioral studies. Equipped with our course syllabus and SAT practice tests, she helps students prepare for the Math, Verbal, and Reading Comprehension portions of the standardized exam. Quick to troubleshoot any areas of weakness, she has a knack for customizing the learning program to meet students exactly where they are with regards to proficiency.

Outside of work, Betty sings in a choir, strolls through Manila Ocean Park, and dotes on her two children and two Tabby cats.
