Meet an Arlington TOEFL Tutor: Colin B.

Colin B. grew up in the New York City area, but moved to Arlington shortly after completing his education at Tulane University and gaining the chance to work as a Spanish teacher in the Arlington area. He tutors students for the TOEFL exam with Manhattan Review, and has many years of experience teaching students both the English and Spanish languages for exam or conversational purposes.

As someone who has experience working with both the wide variety of English speakers and Spanish speakers in the Arlington area, Colin believes in emphasizing the similarities between the two languages in terms of vocabulary so as to help students get past their initial issues and work with the grammatical differences between Spanish and English. He also emphasizes understanding the rules of the question just as much as the questions themselves. In his spare time, Colin likes to play the guitar.
