If your schedule is a concern, you can always consider either on-site or our online options, depending on which works best for you. Other students need the focused attention that only one-on-one tutoring can provide. To learn more about our TOEFL services, contact Manhattan Review in Oakland today. Let's figure out which of our TOEFL options is the right choice for you.
Any university or program you are interested in will publish the TOEFL requirements to attend. While this is important information, it is also important to check the average score for incoming students, especially if you are hoping to attend an elite program. Selective programs have to choose from many applicants, and many times this means finding any advantage possible to move a candidate forward. For example, the University of California at Berkeley requires an Internet Based Test (iBT) score of 90; however, the average score for incoming students at Berkeley is a 109.
Manhattan Review has been specializing in working with international students from its inception, and has proudly helped its students meet the English language standards of highly selective universities in the United States and elsewhere. Our students who have shown a high English proficiency have been accepted to top programs, including at the University of California at Berkeley, Yale, Stanford, Brown, Princeton, Harvard, California Institute of Technology, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvey Mudd College, Carnegie Mellon, Dartmouth, Georgetown, and many more. The language skills acquired during TOEFL prep carry on in our students' lives as they continue on to have careers at companies which conduct business primarily in English. We have students working for Fortune 500 companies, such as Clorox, Disney, Facebook, Wells Fargo, Netflix, and working with local companies, such as Kaiser Permanente, Cost Plus World Markets, and in the shipping industry. Manhattan Review instructors are looking forward to working with you to be a better test-taker and a better English speaker with our TOEFL prep courses and TOEFL private tutoring in Oakland.

I highly recommend Manhattan Review's TOEFL preparation course for anybody interested in taking the exam. I took an intensive course and took the exam only after 4 weeks of classes, and got a 116 score. The teaching method is excellent. It focuses on techniques and strategies that allow students to understand exactly what is required to succeed on examination day. Tutors are very flexible and willing to adapt to the student's schedule, as well as reachable and always ready to help and follow up on whatever the student might need.
