Are you a Bern-based student seeking to obtain the highest score possible on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)? If you are searching for the most effective and comprehensive IELTS preparation resources, look no further than the standardized test prep professionals at Manhattan Review. If English is not your first or native language and you plan on attending an English-speaking college or university, you will need to obtain an impressive score on the IELTS prior to being admitted. A high score on this exam demonstrates your readiness to learn in the English language, as well as your ability to engage with others in English. When it comes to preparing for an exam as important as the IELTS, many students enjoy learning alongside others in a classroom-style group setting. Other students, however, know they do not perform to their full capabilities when attempting to learn in a group format. They may find themselves distracted by others or frustrated when they must alter their own pace of learning to match that of their peers. If you know you learn best through a program of study customized to your unique test-taking needs, consider working with one of the world-class private tutors at Manhattan Review.

While learning any new language can be challenging, those who learn English as their second, third, or fourth language know true mastery requires far more effort than merely reviewing vocabulary words. Interactive conversation and dedicated study are necessary to truly master the English language. Meet a Bern IELTS Tutor: Virgil B.

Virgil B. was born in Zurich, and he has always enjoyed communicating and sharing information with people. In his teens, he discovered an interest in advertising and marketing. Intent on obtaining the best education possible, Virgil worked hard in high school, and he prepared for the SAT with a private tutor. After receiving an impressive SAT score, Virgil moved to the United States, where he was accepted to Johns Hopkins University as a marketing major. During his undergraduate program, he spent four semesters working in the university's learning center, helping others master information that came easily to him. He then attended the University of California at San Diego, where he obtained a master's degree in teaching, as well as a TESOL certificate, and after graduating, he accepted a position with a large social media organization in Los Angeles.

A few years later, Virgil was offered an exciting social media marketing position in Bern, and he happily relocated closer to home and his family. Although he enjoyed the creative aspects of his new job, Virgil quickly discovered that he missed working with students and making a positive difference in their lives. He soon joined the team at Manhattan Review as a TOEFL and IELTS tutor. When he isn't helping the next generation of English-speakers prepare for IELTS success, Virgil can be found designing eye-catching advertising campaigns and playing basketball.
