Meet a Minneapolis Tutor: Hank D.
Our well-versed tutor, Hank, has tutored hundreds of Manhattan Review students in the GMAT, GRE, SAT and LSAT. Knowing many universities and graduate programs covet accepting high scoring students, Hank freely shares his strategies that have worked toward his and his past students' successes. For example, Hank scored an impressive 770 with a 50 in Quantitative and 49 in Verbal placing him in the 99th percentile on the GMAT exam.
Graduating from Stanford in Computer Science and Engineering, Hank then went on to tutor calculus for more than a decade. It began soon after he enrolled in Graduate School at MIT when he needed to make ends meet. Friday nights for Hank were dedicated to a multitude of eager undergrads desiring to know his tricks and strategies. Soon, Hank realized his passion for teaching and his aptitude for it were a winning combination. Moving from college town to college town helping hundreds of MBA hopefuls, he wound up falling in love with Minneapolis's hub of commerce, trade and literature. The city is the third most literate city in America and he always was a bookworm.
Outside of teaching and reading, Hank is an avid cyclist. He enjoys taking off on Saturday mornings and carving a new course every time; never making the same trip twice. Eventually, he makes his way home at sunset. Hank says, "Each day is unique; much like my student's. Although each one may take a different path, their end result at the end of the day is always a stellar test score. Hard work pays off, and again, like cycling, it isn't for the faint of heart!"
