Meet a Singapore Tutor: George T.

George was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and received his undergraduate diploma from University of Pennsylvania with a degree in South Asia Studies and a minor in Asian American Studies. He decided to apply his scholarly pursuits to the real-world setting when he graduated. Thanks to a somewhat-obscure networking opportunity, George accepted a position with Flextronics International, a top-ranked Electronics Manufacturing Services provider, at its Singapore location.

Once climbing the corporate ladder, George learned about the opportunities to continue education through Continuing Legal Education (CLE). He enrolled in Singapore Management University's (SMU) law program to bring professionals relevant to the legal realm into the larger legal community. Because this aligned with George's career and academic visions, he headed to The School of Law at SMU to attend this program, established in 2010. Now that George has forged ahead with his professional goals – even achieving a promotion in the process – he can tighten the notch of academic achievements under his belt as well.

George can tell you how he studied for his standardized tests in Singapore, and how he channeled his success to grow his value in his company. George has firsthand experience with the GMAT and the LSAT and has joined Manhattan Review as a dynamic tutor and successful test prep instructor. In his spare time, George visits his extended family in Burma, the inspiration for his area of study. He is sure that his path brought him to Singapore to come full-circle, and now his higher learning has taken him to an exciting new chapter of his life.
