Test Prep Services in Baltimore (Maryland)

As the largest city in the U.S. state of Maryland and the 26th most populous city in the country, Baltimore is one of the most thriving places to live in the U.S. Well known for having more public monuments than any other city per capita in the country, specifically being home to National Register historic districts such as Fell's Point, Federal Hill and Mount Vernon Place, Baltimore is much more than the home of more than 65,000 properties listed on the National Register. In fact, the largest independent city in the United States is an economic powerhouse beaming with opportunities across a variety of industries for both established and up and coming professionals, with a growing segment focusing primarily in science, technology, and engineering, thanks large in part to Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins University. However, Baltimore's economy wasn't always as education or service focused, lending to its highly diversified economy. Incorporated as the Town of Baltimore in 1729, Baltimore's economy was established when the Port of Baltimore helped to usher in the tobacco trade for the area. Naturally, it wasn't long after before Baltimore began to flourish with other similar industries revolving around the highly lucrative Port of Baltimore; something that remains true to this day. What has changed, however, is the fact that Baltimore's economy has become more service oriented, moving from being the leading manufacturer of rye whiskey and refining crude oil to service jobs accounting for nearly 90 percent of all of the jobs in the city, which is garnering a great deal of attention for the city dubbed "a city of neighborhoods." Even further, Forbes magazine ranked Baltimore fourth among America's "new tech hot spots."

GMAT Prep Course Baltimore - Photo of Student Adeel

Just wanted to let you guys know how the GMAT went yesterday. I went from a 660 to 710 and since I was looking to break 700 I'm very happy with that. My Verbal percentile fell from 97 to 95, probably because I didn't look at verbal at all since the last time I did the GMAT. My math on the other hand went up from 48 percentile to 72, for which I must thank you all.

Meet a Baltimore Tutor: Avery L.

Growing up in Columbia, Maryland, in the suburbs of Baltimore, Avery was raised in a working class family that taught him a lot about work ethic and how to persevere, the two things he needed in order to achieve the level of professional success that he has as well as the academic achievements that originally put him on the path to professional success. For Avery, it all began when his high school took a field trip to Johns Hopkins University. He was captivated, ultimately inspiring his decision to pursue his degrees in biomedical engineering at the G.W.C. Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins University before being hired by one of the top research facilities in Baltimore.

Nearly ten years into his profession, establishing himself as one of the leading biomedical engineers in Baltimore, Avery joined our team of elite private tutors at Manhattan Review. As an instructor at Manhattan Review, Avery has been instrumental in helping us to deliver our industry leading GRE and SAT test prep services. Our students love to work with Avery for so many reasons as they can appreciate his candor about taking standardized tests and the real work it takes to achieve a high score as he did when he was applying to undergraduate and graduate school. Avery also has a sense of humor that has helped him over the years which surprises his students every year. What also surprises our participants at Manhattan Review is that Avery is a huge Baltimore Orioles fan, proving that not all fans of science are opposed to sports.
