Job Description:

We are currently seeking excellent freelance writers and editors to help update and expand our existing management related content. As such, we are looking primarily for writers with a business/management background, but this is not strictly mandatory. Guidance on the content will be provided. This is a long-term part-time position starting with very low (but regular) time commitment, which can be increased later if we feel this is a good fit. Self-motivation to keep deadlines is a must!

The work can be done from home; an occasional meeting in Midtown East might be required a few times per year.

Job Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with writing experience. This is an ideal part-time job for an English or Journalism major student or recent graduate. Also anyone with a passion for writing is encouraged to apply. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be proficient in research, interpreting, and analyzing diverse data and possess the ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve stated goals.

Compensation:

$14 - $16 per hour, depending on experience and commitment. The chosen applicant will be asked to work part-time during a 4 week initial trial period. After a demonstrated satisfactory performance, the person's hours and compensation might be adjusted accordingly. Additional bonus will be considered after the person establishes a successful and consistent performance record.

Job Description:

We are looking for an academic program associate to provide principal support for our student services and communicate (email/phone) with prospective clients/students. This position is a good fit for someone who is highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated and would like to join a high growth boutique firm by taking initiatives and learning and working with minimal supervision in a driven and dynamic team setting.

Specific duties include 1) coordination of daily international and domestic telephonic and email correspondence to ensure a thorough and persuasive response to prospective program participants and existing clients; 2) coordination with teachers for various info events and class schedules; 3) marketing efforts in the USA to promote firm image and course offerings in order to effectively attract prospective business school applicants and business professionals to take Manhattan Review's programs; 4) assistance with recruiting of highly qualified teachers and other academic and administrative personnel; 5) editing newsletters, websites, and course brochures; 6) researching market data, contact magazine and on-line media for press exposure; 7) preparing various presentations for meetings and classes.

The position is available immediately. The work schedule is flexible with committed hours and will include either weekday or weekday + weekend hours.

The position is located in our office in midtown Manhattan (275 Madison Avenue close to Grand Central Station).

Job Qualifications:

We are looking for recent college graduates or young professionals with advanced degrees who have had previous experience with individual client management or sales/marketing in general. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both written and otherwise, to deliver professional, courteous, accurate and persuasive responses to prospective and existing clients. Familiarity with computer programs in general and MS Office programs (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) in particular is mandatory. Given that our services are offered worldwide, we require a certain level of willingness to work flexible hours.

We consider the following as highly beneficial when evaluating candidates: A track record of excellent corporate sales/marketing experience; prior experience with educational services companies; and existing contacts with major corporation's training department.
