Students who are taking the ACT have different target scores in mind, depending on the school where they want to attend. For the lowest category schools a score of 18-20 will be enough to enter them. Average traditional schools increase the score requirement to 22-24, while the result for selective schools needs to be around 25-27. The most elite schools expect a score around 30 or even higher for some specific schools like MIT (34), Columbia University (33), Harvard (33) and Yale (33). Most of the other top-ranked schools will require score around 32 in order to be accepted. Even though that there are sometimes exceptions, students need to meet the general requierments of the category schools they want to study and work on achieving the score requirments of them by working with a tutor on a study program, specially made for his target score. Meet a Sofia ACT Tutor: Peter K.

Peter K., a Bulgarian born in Berlin, had been a top student in elite French high school and then moved to Paris to study arts in Paris College of Arts. The last 3 months of his education he was transferred to Bard College in NYC for taking part of international art project, which become his diploma work. He spent two years in New York City and become a SAT/ACT/TOEFL tutor for Manhattan Review in addition to his art projects. In 2014, Peter moved to Sofia as part of the art commission, helping the capital to become European capital of culture in 2019. He decided to stay, when he was offered a permanent job in the art commission for developing the cultural living in Sofia and Plovdiv, which got selected for ECC 2019. Among cultural event planning, he continues with the tutoring of Sofia students in his free time.
