Papermaker: Our sheets have buckled in the drying loft since March. The blame has fallen on the new felts, which are thicker than the ones they replaced. But we changed the felts only on the laid moulds; the wove moulds carry the felts they have always carried. Just as many wove sheets have buckled since March as laid ones. So the felts are not what is buckling our paper.
