A straight aisle in a plant nursery is $100$ metres long, and positions along it are measured in metres from its west end. Twelve identical crates of seedlings have been left standing on the aisle: five crates at the $10$ metre mark, four crates at the $25$ metre mark, and one crate each at the $40$ metre mark, the $60$ metre mark and the $90$ metre mark. A gardener will set up a potting bench at one point of the aisle and then carry the crates to the bench, one crate at a time. If the bench may be placed at any point of the aisle, what is the least possible total distance, in metres, that the crates are carried?
