A logistics company operates distribution centres (DCs) in a region. In each quarter, every DC either delivered faster than it had in the previous quarter or delivered more slowly; none was unchanged. The table shows, for each quarter, how many DCs fell into each group and the average (arithmetic mean) number of hours per delivery those DCs saved or lost. Forty DCs were in operation in Q1 and forty-two in each later quarter.
