Note to members: how a bulk order works

Requests close at noon on the Sunday before an order goes in. Four things decide what you pay.
- We buy in whole sacks. No supplier will split one. For each item we order the smallest number of whole sacks that covers everything members have asked for in that item. Sack weights are in the Price list tab.
- Your rate for an item is the supplier's price for one kilogram — the sack price divided by the sack weight — plus 20 percent for handling. You pay that rate on the kilograms you asked for, and on nothing else.
- Whatever the sacks hold beyond members' requests goes on the shelf for anyone to buy later. Nobody is charged for it in the order.
- A supplier delivers free of charge when the sacks we order from that supplier weigh 120 kilograms or more. Below that weight the supplier adds a flat $24 for the delivery, and we divide that $24 equally among the members who asked for anything from that supplier.
Lead times in the Price list tab are working days counted from the Monday an order goes in.
Prices agreed with our three suppliers for the current season. A sack price covers one full sack.
