TOEFL Tutoring in Geneva

No two students learn exactly the same way, especially when it comes to language. The TOEFL tests English proficiency, as one would experience language in a higher learning environment. TOEFL Prep Course Geneva - Photo of Student Mirco

My classes with Mr. Scheno were perfect to prepare for the actual TOEFL test – I can give my total recommendation for attending his classes. During our first appopintment he analyzed my strengths and weaknesses to set up my personal course syllabus. These customized classes improved my writing, speaking, reading and listening abilities a lot and raised my confidence to succeed the TOEFL test, which I in fact succeeded. At any time, Mr. Scheno responded rapidly and accurately to my questions and was available even beyond classes. It was a great and successfull experience to work with Mr. Scheno. Many thanks!

Meet a Geneva TOEFL Tutor: Gen L.

Gen studied German and English at the University of Freiburg. When she graduated, she joined a non-profit organization devoted to promoting language education in countries worldwide with limited academic resources. Committed to making a difference and enjoying a meaningful living, Gen traveled to several continents to promote English fluency and explore other ways of life.

This inspired educator next spent several years in Berlin before relocating to the Geneva metropolitan region. Here within her tight-knit group of friends/colleagues, networking led her to TOEFL tutoring with Manhattan Review. Channeling her extensive teaching background and love of language, Gen has added tremendous value to our team. She helps to break down complex concepts in terms that are less intimidating and easier to understand.

Sensitive to language barriers and unique learning needs, her one-on-one attention allows students to maximize their point-scoring potential. Patient and positive, Gen works through our course syllabus custom-fit for specific strengths and weaknesses. She also guides students through TOEFL practice exams that help make the standardized test become more familiar and less overwhelming. Outside the classroom, Gen is very active in animal rescue; she loves to bake sweet treats; and you're likely to run into her at the farmers market on a weekend morning.
