SAT Tutoring in San Francisco

The SAT is an entrenched component of the American educational infrastructure. Each year, thousands of students in San Francisco and around the country present themselves for a test that now has nearly a century of history behind it. At most universities, the SAT is a core admissions requirement, and the SAT's tradition (in comparison to the ACT) is even stronger in cities on both coasts, such as San Francisco. Manhattan Review knows the SAT. Let us get to know you as well, and we'll team up for your best possible SAT scores.

At Manhattan Review, we're familiar with the large body of research done on the SAT. We're well aware, for example, that some correlation has been shown between the length of the written essay and the level of the essay score. This knowledge has been invaluable in our careful design of SAT prep course materials and guidelines for private tutoring. We're constantly modifying our materials to incorporate the results of new research in order to stay on the cutting edge of our field. We do all of this hard work so our students don't have to.

You can be one of the many San Francisco area Manhattan Review students who have lived their dreams of attending Stanford, UCLA, Princeton, Georgetown, and many other top schools. Our former SAT clients now have vibrant careers at notable San Francisco companies and organizations, among which are Gensler, Northern California Public Broadcasting, and Trulia. Manhattan Review's test prep services and private tutoring can help you no matter which career path you seek. We're extremely proud of the diversity of our students, and that we've helped young people become business owners, doctors, lawyers, architects, teachers, writers, and musicians, to name only a few.

Meet a San Francisco SAT Tutor: Keisha L.

Keisha L. is a proud alumna of the public schools in her native Atlanta, where she first cultivated her love of Langston Hughes' poetry and the music of Lauryn Hill. Her excellent grades, high SAT scores, and numerous extracurricular activities (including debate team, mathletes, and tennis) resulted in a scholarship offer from Howard University, which she accepted. After graduating from Howard with a degree in sociology, she moved to California to conduct research on inner-city poverty statistics, which she hopes to publish as a book in the near future. Being in San Francisco allows her to pursue a hobby in which she could only dabble in the Washington and Atlanta areas: volleyball on the beach (as opposed to playing the sport in a sandbox).

When we first met Keisha, it was immediately apparent that her background in social science statistics and her outgoing personality gave her all of the skills necessary to become a great SAT tutor. We hired her on the spot, and her students have been thanking us ever since. "I always got the sense that Keisha brought everything she had to her tutoring, and that my goals were also her goals," said one former student. "Those are rare qualities in an educator." Keisha is friendly and eminently approachable, but don't make the mistake of disparaging the Atlanta Falcons in her presence (we'll certainly never do it again).
