TOEFL Prep Courses in San Jose

Learning how to master the English language is a very critical step for any non-native English speaker who is adapting to a life in the United States. This is especially true for students who are applying to colleges and universities, although it is also applicable to individuals who work in the medical profession and require licensing and/or certification as well as immigrants seeking to acquire a residential or work visa. Given this, the Test of English as a Foreign Language, or TOEFL, carries great significance and thus can present a significant challenge for those that take it, particularly if ill-prepared. At Manhattan Review, our world-class TOEFL test prep courses are guaranteed to help you achieve your highest possible score.

Since 1999, Manhattan Review has been the industry leader in providing TOEFL test prep services to non-native English speakers all over the world, including right here in San Jose. Our state-of-the-art program is unlike any other TOEFL test prep program around, primarily for one reason: our program is 100 percent fully customizable. This means that participants are given the opportunity to custom design their own learning program according to their unique learning style. It also gives the chance to design a program around their own availability constraints, which many participants find to be an added bonus given the busy lives we all lead. Even further, learning programs consist of either interactive courses or private tutoring sessions, both of which are accompanied with a host of online tools and resources designed to enhance the learning experience and give our participants an advantage over the competition.

Our efforts to help our participants, whether they are students applying to local colleges and universities, medical professionals seeking licensing and/or certification, or immigrants applying for a residential or work visa, has consequently garnered the respect of both the local academic community as well as the business community in San Jose. Specifically, all of the top colleges and universities in San Jose, including San Jose State University, National Hispanic University, California University of Management and Technology, National University, Golden Gate University, San Jose City College, West Valley City College, Mission College, Evergreen Valley College, and West Med College have all been the proud recipients of our past participants. Similarly, all the top companies in the area are also fond of our participants as well. Namely, Adobe, Altera, Brocada Communication Systems, Cadence Design Systems, Cisco Systems, eBay, Lee Sandwiches, PayPal, Ericsson, Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi, IBM, Kaiser Permanente, Qualcomm, CEVA, Netgear, Online Trading Company, TiVo along with the local city government and county. At Manhattan Review, we invest in every single participant, to ensure that they not only become proficient in English and reach their TOEFL goals, but also go on to achieve their personal and professional goals as well.

TOEFL Prep Course San Jose - Photo of Student Mirco

My classes with Mr. Scheno were perfect to prepare for the actual TOEFL test – I can give my total recommendation for attending his classes. During our first appopintment he analyzed my strengths and weaknesses to set up my personal course syllabus. These customized classes improved my writing, speaking, reading and listening abilities a lot and raised my confidence to succeed the TOEFL test, which I in fact succeeded. At any time, Mr. Scheno responded rapidly and accurately to my questions and was available even beyond classes. It was a great and successfull experience to work with Mr. Scheno. Many thanks!

Meet a San Jose TOEFL Tutor: Giovanni Y.

Before moving to the United States with his family, Giovanni spent the first five years of his life growing in the countryside of Mexico. After moving to the United States, like many immigrants, Giovanni had his work cut out for him having to independently learn to master the English language. He did and it paid off immensely, in the form of academic success and subsequent professional success as well. With high scores on both the SAT and the TOEFL, Giovanni was on track to do exceptionally well at Golden Gate University, where he earned both is bachelor's and master's degree in Information Technology Management.

After graduating from Golden Gate University, Giovanni went to work for one of the top technology firms in San Jose, where he earned many significant professional achievements, making him one of the top professionals in the field of Information Technology. Not long after, Giovanni joined our elite team of professional tutors at Manhattan Review and has been with us ever since. As a member of our team of private TOEFL tutors, Giovanni plays a significant role in helping to develop non native English speakers, like he once was, into masters of the English language and subsequently achieving their highest possible score on the TOEFL. For that reason and so many more, Giovanni is indeed an asset to our team at Manhattan Review.
