Meet a Seattle LSAT Tutor: Alana M.

After receiving her B.A. and M.A. at George Washington University, Alana pressed forward to earn her J.D. at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. With her LSAT score of 174, the 99th percentile results left her in a position to choose the best program for her, with financial support that she couldn't resist at this top-ranked Tennessee school. Alana had enrolled in private tutoring to prepare for her own LSAT exam, increasing her score by more than 20 points with the benefit of one-on-one counseling. This private training helped Alana make the very most of her education, starting a career track where she hit the ground running upon graduation.

While at Vanderbilt, Alana met her now-husband George, with their shared love for environmental law and the Pacific Northwest. (Both have family on the West Coast). Upon graduation, the couple married and moved to the Seattle region. George began working in a legal capacity for Capital One, while Alana brought her impressive resume to REI, the perfect company for a zealous outdoors enthusiast. While Alana's role is not strictly in the legal capacity, her credentials helped set her apart from the competition, landing her a role where she has flourished for years. The power couple has three children, Zack (13), Alice, (11) and Jackson (8). After a networking event in 2011, Alana teamed up with Manhattan Review and has been a vital part of our LSAT private tutoring staff ever since.
