LSAT Tutoring in Beijing

If you are a Beijing student intending to take the Law School Admission test (LSAT), Manhattan Review is here to help you achieve the test score you need to make your law school dreams a reality. There's no better time to surround yourself with the support you deserve, and there's no need to prepare for this challenging exam on your own. Here at Manhattan Review, we've deconstructed the LSAT and broken it down into easy-to-understand components. We then pair our industry-leading syllabus with the most experienced and dedicated tutors in the test prep business, allowing us to offer Beijing's most results-driven and student-friendly LSAT prep course. It's an established tenet in education that no two students learn in the exact same way. Many students do quite well in a group setting and enjoy the dynamic energy of being in a classroom with peers, learning from others' questions and appreciating the sense of comradery. Other students, however, find learning in a group distracting or overwhelming, leading them to stress about holding the group back or feel frustrated that they can't move on as soon as they've mastered a particular concept. If you know one-on-one attention and customized instruction is the most effective way for you to learn and remember complex information, we encourage you to contact us today to learn more about our LSAT private tutoring programs.

When you partner with Manhattan Review, you can be certain you're receiving world-class instruction from knowledgeable and passionate instructors. Our comprehensive study syllabus is unparalleled in the test prep industry, and the services of our tutors are unsurpassed, consistently earning us the reputation of helping clients obtain admission into the most competitive law schools around the world. While our tutors have firsthand experience with the LSAT themselves, they are not only exceptional test takers with strong academic backgrounds…they are also highly educated teachers and professional instructors ready to provide you with cutting-edge educational tools and test-taking techniques intentionally designed to boost your LSAT score. Those clients who have worked with our private tutors and completed LSAT prep programs have gone on to establish commanding legal careers, attending leading law programs around the world due to the impressive LSAT score they obtained with the support of Manhattan Review. Those students who work with Manhattan Review consistently obtain offers of admission to the world's leading law schools, including Harvard University, Stanford University, Yale University, Dartmouth College, Princeton University, New York University, Columbia University, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Southern California, the University of California at Berkeley, the University of Chicago, the University of Virginia, the University of Pennsylvania, and elsewhere.

Manhattan Review has been the leader in test preparation services since 1999, and we have used our more than 20 years in the instructional services business to create and refine test prep methods that are both effective and efficient. We take great pride in pairing our students with just the right tutor, and your tutor will work with you to identify your specific learning style. Your tutor will help you become aware of and apply the strengths you already possess while also teaching you how to overcome areas of weakness that might negatively impact your LSAT performance. Working with an accomplished tutor is not only a proven way to accelerate your learning, it also helps improve your confidence in your test-taking skills, reducing your anxiety and allowing you to focus more clearly on the questions you'll be asked to answer. When you work with a private tutor, your learning needs are the priority, and we will meet you wherever you are at in the LSAT preparation process, guiding you through a study plan that is both comprehensive and targeted to your unique goals.

The LSAT is purposefully designed to assess the skills required for the first year of law school. These skills include reading comprehension, reasoning, and writing. LSAT scores fall in a range between 120 to 180, with the median score being approximately 152. A median score, however, will not be enough to secure acceptance to a top-tier law school, and competitive scores generally fall in the 160s to 170s. The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) is the organization responsible for the administration of the LSAT, and they regularly track and report statistical information about those who take the test, analyzing their information as a whole while also dividing test-takers into subgroups. According to the LSAC, among the most respected law schools, successful applicants have an LSAT score in the 170s. In order to be competitive for the highest-ranking law schools, it is necessary to do well on the LSAT. We at Manhattan Review can help you master all sections of the test, improving your reading comprehension and reasoning abilities while also strengthening your critical writing skills.

If you know you're ready to take your LSAT preparation to the next level, consider the benefits of working with a private tutor. Our Beijing tutors are professional and personable, and we are proud to have secured the services of skilled instructors with strong legal and educational backgrounds who are intent on helping others achieve similar success of their own. There's no need to waste your valuable time attempting to piece together your own study program, leading you to become anxious as you hope you've covered the correct material. We've taken all the guesswork out of preparing for the LSAT, and our Manhattan Review tutors are eager to show you how to master this exam. When it comes to preparing for something as important as the LSAT, set yourself up for success by taking advantage of our flexible, focused, and student-friendly private tutoring options where you'll comprehend course material using state-of-the-art learning techniques.

Another benefit of working with a private tutor is that you allow yourself to prepare for the LSAT at times that are most convenient for you. We routinely work with a diverse group of clients, from students who recently completed their undergraduate degree to corporate executives seeking a pay raise, promotion, or a way to take their career in a new and exciting direction. Working with a private tutor allows you to control the schedule, making it easy to create a routine that works with your current academic commitments or professional obligations. Personalized instruction is available during daytime, evening, and weekend hours, and we offer in-person tutoring, as well as online interactive instruction.

When it comes to preparing for the LSAT, it's important to take this test seriously, as your LSAT score plays a significant role in where you will attend law school. Where you attend law school exerts a significant effect on the legal career you ultimately establish, and if you seek a truly rewarding career in law, it all starts with the LSAT. Those in Beijing know that the area offers a dynamic and fast-paced marketplace both for those just beginning their careers and those who are more established in their professions. Given the global nature of the city, academic competition is fierce, and there are always more applicants for prestigious law schools than there are available positions in the incoming freshman class. We look forward to partnering with students who truly seek to master the knowledge necessary to score in the highest percentile on the LSAT, and together, we'll create the LSAT study program that's perfect for you.

Meet a Beijing LSAT Tutor: Carmen D.

Carmen D. can't remember a time when she wasn't fascinated by words, losing herself in any book she could get her hands on. "I was constantly reading as a child, and I remember being fascinated by how so many people could use the same basic words but convey such incredibly different information." Carmen enjoyed writing her own short stories, which she shared with her family, and she found herself drawn to the rules of grammar, "which was, admittedly, not something most tween girls were into," she recalls with a smile. In high school, Carmen worked her way up from contributing reporter to editor of the entire newspaper, and also worked as one of three editors on the yearbook. She won countless awards for her essays and research papers, and it wasn't long before she found herself tutoring her friends in the finer points of writing in the English language.

Carmen grew up in Chicago and thanks to her hard work and dedication (and an impressive ACT score), she was accepted at the University of Chicago, graduating with a degree in English with a focus on journalism, arts, and media. During a seminar her sophomore year, Carmen had the chance to attend a lecture by a visiting professor who was also a lawyer and specialized in contract negotiation. Carmen was riveted to learn there was a job that revered words as much as she did. "That's when I knew I wanted to be a lawyer…not the kind who argued in a courtroom, but someone behind the scenes, ensuring everyone agreed on and was happy with a document." Carmen had worked part-time as a tutor in the learning center during undergrad, but now she shifted her attention to being tutored herself, working with a private tutor through Manhattan Review to prepare for the LSAT. "I don't get stressed out by standardized tests," she admits, "but I struggle with pacing. Sometimes I get so caught up in what I'm reading or what I think the words are saying, I lose track of time, and you can't do well on a test like the LSAT if you don't answer questions because you ran out of time." Carmen's focus and persistence were rewarded with offers of admission to numerous top-tier law schools, and she ultimately chose to attend Columbia University, recognized around the world for their contracts and commercial law program.

After graduating from Columbia, Carmen was offered a job with a firm in Beijing, and while the work was challenging, she appreciated the flexibility the position offered, frequently allowing her to work from home. "A lot of contract law is just emailing documents back and forth until clients are satisfied," she shares, "and I found myself looking for ways to connect with others in the legal field, particularly those just getting started or hoping to get started." With years of both informal and formal tutoring behind her, Carmen became an immediate asset when she joined the Manhattan Review Beijing team in 2018. Those students she works with through private tutoring are impressed by her ability to see the bigger picture without missing important details. They also appreciate her techniques for helping them understand exactly what a question is asking or presenting. When she isn't guiding future lawyers through comprehensive and effective LSAT preparation, Carmen enjoys hosting visiting family members from Chicago, swimming every weekday morning, and completing crossword puzzles.
