Meet a Houston Tutor: Reggie S.

Reggie graduated from University of Houston with his undergrad degree in Art with a Teacher's Certification. Reggie had been doodling since he learned how to pick up a pencil, and he explored his artistic penchant for sculpture, still life, painting, and pottery. Reggie didn't just enjoy his art – he enjoyed discussing pieces in small groups and engaging in a more collaborative environment. Reggie realized his future would best serve his talents in the classroom setting. He entered University of New Mexico's Art Education program after an impressive GRE score of 800 Verbal and 770 Math. The program supports art professionals in their examination of multiple approaches to art education including image-focused, discipline-based, and issues-based art education as well as visual culture.

Now Reggie is both an artist and an art teacher in Houston, plus these principles have steered him into the realm of standardized test prep. Professional and patient, you can count on Reggie to utilize his experience and extensive education to cater to your specific learning needs. Reggie has a background for both the SAT and GRE and has very recently landed an impressive GMAT score as he contemplates opening his own art-based business in the future. In his spare time, Reggie loves teaching his kids how to sculpt and stencil and is a huge basketball fan, always fired up to cheer on the Houston Rockets or ready to shoot some hoops with his own buddies.
