I wanted to thank you for helping me with the GRE prep and let you know that your teaching tactics worked! I took the exam yesterday and got an 800 on the math, 570 on the verbal and who knows about the writing but hopefully it's not below a 4! The verbal is tricky with those silly words but I am happy with my score and ready to walk away from this ETS madness. Thanks again and all the best!

Meet a Cape Town GRE Tutor: Bianca B.

Bianca's father hailed from New England in the United States, while her mother was born and raised in Brazil. The couple met and fell in love when her father was holding a military post in South America several decades ago. They returned to the United States and had two children.

Bianca thrived academically and grew up speaking both Spanish and English fluently. She played the cello, exceled in high school softball, and gained admission to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a high SAT score and solid college application. Bianca studied Political Science and became very interested in global policies. Her own heritage inspired her to care about what was happening in other countries across the world.

Through her research and studies, she became increasingly invested in the economic and sociopolitical climate in Africa. Through an outreach program sponsored by the school, Bianca began traveling the world. Post-graduation, she secured a government position in Washington D.C. A diplomat of sorts, she traveled the world – India, Vietnam, El Salvador, Columbia, and several cities throughout South Africa. Between these ambitious adventures, she got her Master's Degree in International Relations under her belt. Upon graduation, she opted to relocate to Cape Town when given the opportunity.

Bianca retired from her political post in 2010. Today, she and her husband still live in South Africa, and her three children are all away at school. But, as usual, Bianca is keeping busy. Along with her many outreach initiatives and activities, she serves as a private GRE tutor with Manhattan Review. A skilled communicator and academic, she empowers her students as she prepares them to take the GRE in Cape Town.
