I saw this on a practice test:
5^11 x 4^20 = 2 x 10^n What does n equal?
Does n = 32?
Thanks!

is ^ = divided? if so I would say:
5^11*4^20 = 200^N
1^11= 200^N
N= 2200?

Remember that for the two sides to be equal (given that n is an integer), the power of 5 or each side must be the same:
Also, you could write the left side in terms of 10
I don't think this question is properly written, can you check it?
(5^21)*(4^11)=2*(10^n)
Comparing the powers of 5 on both sides (10 = 5 x 2 ), n= 21
OR
4^11 = 2^22
5^21 x 2^22 = 10^21 x 2
