The sum of three integers is 40. The largest integer is 3 times the middle integer, and the smallest integer is 23 less than the largest integer. What is the product of the three integers?

Formal Answer: C

My Answer: a+b+c= 40. 3b+b+(3b-23)=40 7b=63 b=8. Product of integers is 3(8)*(8)*(3*8-23) = 24*8*1= 192. Answer E.

a+b+c= 40. 3b+b+(3b-23)=40 7b=63 b=9. Product of integers is 3(9)*(9)*(3*9-23) = 27*9*4= 972. Answer B
