Controversial mortgage laws passed last year state that, if at any point during the maturation period of the loan the person in whose name it is taken is not able to meet the payments, that person’s spouse will have responsibilities that include paying the balance.
will have responsibilities that include
will be responsible to pay
is responsible to pay
will be responsible for paying
is responsible for paying
In this case we have the verb “to state” which I believed needed the subj. form. How come we don’t need it here?

I have a great doubt which came up from a test: does everyone want plural?
The cost of the El Paso tour includes admission to two museums, a play, and two other cultural attractions, but anyone wishing to cross the border should bring their passport.
but anyone wishing to cross the border should bring their passport
and everyone who wishes to cross the Mexican border should be bringing their passport
but anyone wishing to cross the border should bring his or her passport
and everyone wishing to cross the border should bring his or her passport
to such an extent that anyone who wishes to cross the border should bring his or her passport
the explanations of the test told that D is wrong because everyone wants their. Are we sure???

i think c is the answer without any doubts.. but is right as this is conjunction and conjunctions should be preceded by , and but brings contrast so it is appropriate here. and is wrong as it is coordinating conjunction and other sentence follows the previous on . anyone is singular please note
